We're looking for a team oriented Inside Sales Representative with a strong work ethic who can open doors to new strategic target customers. The ideal candidate is highly independent, has a 'can-do' attitude, thrives in a fast-paced team environment, wants to grow into more responsibility, and is influential in developing leads that turn into sales.

Responsibilities:

  • Prospect and qualify potential customers within a defined list of strategic targets

  • Ability to leverage various sales and lead generation tools, templates, and resources

  • Develop prospects through direct telephone selling and email communications

  • Work to penetrate new target accounts, identify potential customers, qualify and schedule in depth supply development conversations

  • Weekly review of leads developed, new leads added, field sales intelligence and other notes to keep records and generate reports on all phases of activities

  • Master your craft by staying informed about steel products, available processing, and other general information of interest to customers through coaching, mentoring, and self-study

  • Understand, manage, and communicate about prospect business opportunities, current conditions, future prospects, active measurements and competitive issues

  • Own your role by displaying time-management skills, self-discipline, and focus to effectively manage an intense, high-volume business

  • Achieve or exceed daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly goals and production levels

  • Additional responsibilities as defined by the business

  • Minimal travel may be required as time with company increase

Qualifications:

  • Dynamic, high-energy professional ready to tackle an intense, fast paced, goal-oriented sphere – ideally in a customer service environment

  • BA/BS degree encouraged but not required

  • Demonstrated ability to exceed expectations

  • Blend of strategic thinking and tactical implementation

  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally within a team-oriented environment

  • Strong computer, written and interpersonal communications skills

  • Ability to multitask, organize, and prioritize work requirements

Our headquarters is located in Westlake, OH, with close proximity to both I-90 and I-480 highways off Clague Rd.

This is a critically important role within our company! The ISR is typically the first point of contact with prospective customers. This role directly impacts the ongoing success of Green Flag Metals and provides career development and opportunities within the company. A team of experienced teammates, a coach, and others that want to see you succeed will be working side by side with you as you develop. This position is an entry-level role with the expectation of developing into more advanced sales roles. The opportunity to advance is equal to performance achievement. First year salary and bonus compensation is expected to be in the $50-$55k range.
